OVERVIEW

The Dog Development Program is the Boston Jr. Terriers own an in-house introductory league for beginner hockey players. It is NOT a learn-to-play program...please see our Learn to Play tab for further information.. It is NOT a travel development program...please see our Fed Futures tab for further information on pre-mite travel options.

No tryout is necessary for this program, however all players in our Dog Development Program should have completed our Learn to Play programs before participating. The program consists of 2 x weekly skills and weekly cross-ice games.

The Details

Tentative Schedule (Canton)  - Weds 5:00pm, Friday 5:00pm, Saturday 10:00am

Tentative Schedule (Bavis) - Weds 5:20pm, Saturday 8:40am, Sunday 8:40am

  • Cost is $699 for each 10-week session program.
  • All hockey equipment is required
  • Program jersey is provided.

This combination of (2) weekly skill sessions complimented by game play allows player to maximize their repetitions and puck touches to quickly support the growth and development of the individual player before entering the highly competitive full season teams that we offer as part of the Eastern Hockey Federation. This program is open to 2017, 2018, and 2019 and birth years.

Sessions

The 2024-2025 program will be broken up into a Fall and Winter Sessions as outlined below:

(1) Fall Session: 10 Weeks  September 11 - November 26

(2) Winter Session: 10 Weeks December 4 - February 22 (No skates 12/25, 12/27, 12/30, 12/28, 1/1, 1/3, 1/4)

**NOTE: Registration for our Fall session will close on September 1st, 2024.
